1. Introduction

Welcome to Expense Track (“the App”), an Android application developed by Waleed (“we”, “us”, or “our”). Expense Track helps you record personal income and expenses on your own device.

The App is designed to work offline. It does not require user registration or login, does not use Firebase, and does not use a backend server operated by us. This policy describes what information is stored, how it is used, and the choices you have.

By installing or using Expense Track, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

Expense Track does not collect personal information on our servers because the App does not transmit your expense data to us.

In particular, Expense Track does not:

Any expense or income information you enter is created by you and is stored locally on your device, not sent to a server controlled by us.

3. Information Stored Locally

To provide expense tracking, the App stores the following information on your device using local storage:

Expense and income records remain stored locally on your device. Expense Track does not send these records to our servers, because we do not operate a backend for this App.

4. How We Use Information

Information stored on your device is used only to:

We do not use your expense records for advertising, analytics profiles, marketing, or resale. We cannot access your records from our side because they are not uploaded to us.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal expense data. We do not share your transactions, categories, or settings with third parties for advertising.

Because Expense Track does not send your expense records to our servers, we do not have those records to disclose. Standard platform services used to distribute the App are described in Third-Party Services.

6. Data Security

Your data is stored locally on your Android device. Access to that data depends on the security of your device, including lock screen, OS updates, and any backup tools you enable yourself.

We take reasonable steps in the App’s design to keep records on-device and not transmit them to a backend. No method of storage is perfectly secure. Please protect your device and uninstall or clear the App if you no longer want the locally stored records.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Local records remain on your device until you delete them or remove the App’s data. Expense Track does not keep a copy of your transactions on a server.

You can delete data in these ways:

After you clear App data or uninstall, we do not retain your expense records, because they were never sent to us.

8. Children's Privacy

Expense Track is a general-audience personal finance tool. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

The App does not require an account. If you believe a child has provided information through the App on a device you control, you can delete the relevant records or clear the App’s data on that device. Contact us using the details below if you have questions.

9. Third-Party Services

Expense Track itself does not include Firebase, a custom backend, or advertising SDKs that collect your expense records.

The App may rely on standard Android and Google Play services needed to distribute, install, update, and operate the App on Android devices. Those platform services are provided by Google and are governed by Google’s own policies, such as the Google Privacy Policy.

Google Play may process information related to downloads, updates, and crash or device diagnostics according to Google’s practices. Expense Track does not send your expense or income records to a backend as part of those platform processes.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if the App’s features or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when this policy was last revised.

Continued use of Expense Track after an update means you accept the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
